The fastest way is the phone

Rockland PipeWorx Plumbing & Heating is a locally owned plumbing and heating company. Call and tell us what you see and hear, and we will tell you what we think is going on and what happens next.

Most of the people who reach us are in the middle of something: a ceiling that just started dripping, a water heater that went cold overnight, a drain that will not clear no matter what they pour down it. A phone call lets us ask the right questions, help you stop any water, and get moving. The form is there for work that can wait a little, like a water heater you want replaced or a drain that has been slow for weeks.

What happens after you reach out

  1. 1
We answer or call you back. Phone calls get a person. Form requests get a reply as soon as we are off the job in front of us.
  2. 2
We talk it through. If water is leaking, we help you find the shut-off first. Then we ask a few questions so we arrive with the right parts.
  3. 3
You get a free estimate. We look at the real cause and give you the price before any work starts.
  4. 4
We fix it and clean up. Tested before we leave, with the space left the way we found it.

A few details help us come prepared

You do not need to know plumbing to call us. Describe it the way you would to a neighbor and we will take it from there.

What you see
Water on the floor, a stain on the ceiling, a drain that backs up, a heater with no flame. Where in the house it is matters too.
What you hear
Gurgling drains, a hiss behind a wall, a tank that rumbles or bangs. Sounds often point straight to the cause.
When it started
Sudden problems and slow ones have different fixes. A leak that showed up after a cold snap tells us a lot.
Photos if you have them
A picture of the water heater label or the pipes under a sink helps us bring the right parts the first time.

What to do in the next five minutes

Do these while you dial. If you are unsure about any of it, call (845) 402-8547 and we will walk you through it on the phone.

Call (845) 402-8547
  1. Close the nearest valve. Under a sink or behind a toilet there is usually a small valve. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
  2. Shut the main if you need to. If the leak is in a wall or ceiling, close the main shut-off where water enters the house, often in the basement near the meter.
  3. Keep power away from water. If water is near outlets, appliances or a panel, stay clear and switch off that circuit only if you can do it from a dry spot.
  4. Move what you can. Pull rugs, boxes and electronics out of the path and catch drips with buckets and towels.
"Guys came out within two hours, identified and fixed the problem, and came in under our estimate. They even added a shut-off valve to prevent future problems. Could not have been more pleased."

"I have not used Mendy personally, but when I was desperate to get a plumber he answered his phone on a late Saturday night and got back to me promptly the next morning."

Contact questions

Good to know before you call

Anything else, just ask on the phone. You will get a straight answer.

Is it better to call or use the form?

Call for anything urgent, especially water that is leaking or a home with no heat or hot water. The form works well for estimates on planned work, and we reply as soon as we can.

What about Fridays?

On Friday we work from 6 AM to 2 PM. Every other day of the week we are open 24 hours.

Does the estimate cost anything?

No. Estimates are free, and you get the price before any work begins.

Do you handle condos and apartments?

Yes. Several of our reviews come from condo owners, including emergency pipe damage. Let us know if your building has rules about access or water shut-offs.

Can you help with boilers and heating?

Yes. We are a plumbing and heating company, and boilers, circulators and heating piping are regular work for us.

Not sure we cover your street?
