What the work involves

Stop the water, then fix it properly

An emergency call is really two jobs. First the water has to stop. Then whatever failed has to be repaired so it does not fail again next week.

The first part often starts on the phone. While we are on the way, we can help you find your main shut-off or the valve feeding the fixture that let go, and tell you what to switch off so the problem stops spreading. A few minutes of calm direction can save a ceiling.

The second part happens on site. We trace the water back to its source, whether that is a split copper line, a failed fitting, a water heater leaking at the base, a supply line under a sink or a heating pipe off the boiler. We show you what we found, tell you the price before we start, and make a real repair. Where it makes sense, we add a shut-off valve so the next problem in that spot can be stopped in seconds.

Heating trouble counts too. We are a plumbing and heating company, and boiler rooms, circulators and heating lines are regular work for us.

When it cannot wait until morning

Some plumbing problems can sit for a day. These should not. If you are seeing any of them, call.

  1. Water coming through a ceiling or up through a floor. Something above or below is running, and it will not stop on its own.
  2. A burst or split pipe. Often found the first warm day of spring, when an outdoor spigot gets turned on after a hard winter.
  3. No heat or no hot water in cold weather. A quiet boiler or a dead water heater can turn into frozen pipes fast.
  4. Sewage or drain water backing up. Water rising in a basement drain or tub means the line is blocked further down.
  5. A leak you cannot shut off. If the valve will not close or you cannot find it, we will talk you through it.

"Mendy is a great knowledgeable plumber he answered right away when i needed help and i called every plumber in Rockland County NY on a Sunday July 7th 2025 and he was the only one that came in to check and was available. I didn't have time to wait anymore because water was coming up above from my floor."

"Had a pipe break over the hard winter but didn’t realize it until we turned in the outdoor spigot in spring. Guys came out within two hours, identified and fixed the problem, and came in under our estimate. They even added a shut-off valve to prevent future problems."

"I have not used Mendy personally, but when I was desperate to get a plumber he answered his phone on a late Saturday night and got back to me promptly the next morning."
